My first trip abroad was to Martinique for my 16th birthday.
I was awarded a leadership plaque by the mayor of Kriva Palanka, Macedonia, for a museum fundraising project.
Once I climbed a mountain in the Austrian Alps to taste soup.
My husband and I met on a tennis court in Golden Gate Park.
Married since 1990, we have a daughter and future son-in-law.
I have degrees in business and French from San Francisco State University.
My first job in high school was composing ads at an advertising agency. Really!
